LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Division will obtain a “fleet” of Tesla Cybertrucks to begin patrolling the streets of the valley, the sheriff introduced on the State of the Division handle.

Based on Sheriff Kevin McMahill, the division can be receiving 10 Cybertrucks, which can be made to appear like LVMPD patrol and SWAT automobiles.

The sheriff posted what gave the impression to be renderings of what the vans may appear like on his X account, writing “These are bada**.”

McMahill mentioned not one of the Cybertrucks will come from the division’s funds and have been all donated by an unnamed particular person.

The donation was made earlier than the New Yr’s Day Cybertruck explosion at Trump Tower, police mentioned.

The vans have been introduced as a part of a speech McMahill gave about new know-how coming to the division, together with semi-autonomous drones tied to shot-spotting know-how
