LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Nellis Air Power Base reopened its principal gate almost 9 hours after closing it following an in a single day incident the place safety officers shot a person who allegedly fired a number of rounds.

In line with the Las Vegas Metropolitan police, a person opened fireplace on the principal gate and pointed his gun at base safety round 12:30 a.m. Nellis AFB safety officers fired on the man, putting him within the leg.
The person was transported to a neighborhood hospital for non-life-threatening accidents.
A brief gate was opened for base site visitors whereas the primary gate remained closed till almost 9 a.m. for police to conduct an investigation.
