LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A suspected copper wire theft at an NV Vitality substation is believed to be the reason for an influence outage within the Las Vegas valley.

The outage started round 3:15 p.m. Monday and affected 12 clients, in accordance with NV Vitality.

NV Vitality’s preliminary investigation confirmed that the outage was attributable to a suspected copper wire theft on the substation within the space. The investigation into the reason for the outage continues to be ongoing.
