Brown will function the Underneath Secretary for Memorial Affairs on the Division of Veterans Affairs, in line with the announcement.

Brown is a retired Military captain and took on Democratic Nevada Sen. Jacky Rosen in November’s Nevada senate race.

“Sam is an American HERO, a Purple Heart recipient, and successful businessman from Nevada, who devoted his life to serving America,” Trump acknowledged partly in his announcement on Thursday.

In November, Rosen received re-election by greater than 23,000 votes—or about 1.5%—to Republican opponent, Brown.
