Man dies after Las Vegas fireplace crews discover him caught in palm tree

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A person has died after fireplace crews discovered him caught in a palm tree within the east Las Vegas valley.

It occurred on Wednesday shortly after 3 p.m. when Las Vegas Hearth and Rescue positioned the person within the 2000 block of East Bonanza Street close to Japanese Avenue.

A caller reported to Las Vegas Hearth and Rescue that they noticed an unconscious man about 25 toes within the air and caught in a palm tree.

After firefighters arrived and had been in a position to get him down from the tree he was deemed unresponsive and handed away on the scene, in accordance with LVFR.

Las Vegas Metro police have closed off east and westbound visitors alongside Bonanza Street.
