Las Vegas nonprofit marks 20 years with new mural, free excursions

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) —  A Las Vegas nonprofit devoted to supporting navy households and frontline employees is celebrating a serious milestone.

Horses4Heroes marked 20 years of service with a Veterans Day celebration and the revealing of a brand new barn mural at The Ranch Las Vegas.

The group, based in 2005, affords inexpensive horseback experiences for navy members, veterans, first responders, lecturers, healthcare employees, and their households.

The mural, painted throughout the ranch barn, is supposed to represent connection, service, and the spirit of giving again.

To honor its twentieth anniversary, Horses4Heroes introduced that members, together with active-duty navy, veterans, first responders, medical employees, and educators, can now go to the ranch free of charge throughout Household Farm Days each Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to midday.

The group can be internet hosting a Veterans Day Farm Camp on Tuesday, Nov. 11, open to kids ages 5 to 13. The one-day camp runs from 9 a.m. to three p.m. and contains snacks and lunch.

Organizers say households impacted by the continued federal authorities shutdown, together with active-duty navy and federal staff, could request monetary assist to attend.
