Las Vegas lady dies greater than a month after DUI hit-and-run

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A 78-year-old lady died greater than a month after a DUI hit-and-run crash within the southeast valley.

On July 3, at round 7:15 p.m., police responded to a collision on the intersection of Mountain Vista and Rawhide streets involving two automobiles.

Police mentioned proof on the scene confirmed a 2003 GMC Yukon was driving south on Mountain Vista approaching Rawhide. On the identical time, a 2017 Hyundai Sonata was stopped at a cease signal on eastbound Rawhide.

The Hyundai started getting into the intersection, turning left. The collision occurred when the GMC hit the left aspect of the Hyundai.

The driving force of the GMC, later recognized as Carlos Lee, 41, then acquired out of his car and ran away from the scene.

Medical personnel took the driving force of the Hyundai, a 78-year-old lady, to a close-by hospital. On August 6, she succumbed to her accidents, and hospital workers pronounced her lifeless.

Lee later returned to the scene and was arrested for DUI, reckless driving leading to demise or severe bodily hurt, and obligation to cease on the scene of an accident. He posted bond and is predicted to be in court docket on Sept. 30.
