Las Vegas-area highschool provides crossing guards after pupil's demise

“I decided something’s gotta be done,” Holloway stated. “If it means taking my own time to stand out there and keep kids safe, I’ll keep doing it, and we’ll do it over and over again all over the city if we have to.”

“We’ve watched kids nearly get hit, and I just couldn’t watch it anymore. When they started asking for volunteers, I had to be here,” Stillwell stated.

“It means a lot,” Holloway stated. “It’s really helpful that everybody pitched in, and the city listened, and the school district helped out.”

Past crossing guards, town additionally added elevated security measures like flashing lights and repainted crosswalks alongside Buffalo Drive close to Whispering Sands Drive. Metropolis crossing guards are additionally assigned to Cimarron Excessive College and Palo Verde Excessive College.
