Lady completes jail time in Reba the bulldog demise

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The girl who took a plea deal for her involvement within the demise of “Reba,” the English bulldog that died a day after being discovered sealed in a plastic tub on a 110-degree day, acquired a suspended sentence on Monday.

Markeisha Foster, who was arrested in December, was launched for time served in June, finishing a requirement to serve seven months on the Clark County Detention Heart.

Foster, 30, and Isaac Laushaul Jr., 33, have been charged in reference to Reba’s demise. Foster pleaded responsible to a lesser cost of making an attempt to kill an animal.

Lashaul was sentenced to 16 months to 4 years in jail at a Sept. 10 listening to. With time served, he’s more likely to serve barely greater than a 12 months in jail.

The case generated a variety of emotion locally, and “Reba’s Law” handed within the Legislature earlier this 12 months. The legislation will increase penalties for animal abuse instances.
