Indian Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan is stabbed by an intruder at his house in Mumbai

MUMBAI, India (AP) — Indian Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan was stabbed in a scuffle with an intruder at his house early Thursday and underwent surgical procedure at a hospital, media experiences stated.

The 54-year-old actor was taken to the hospital from his house in Mumbai, the nation’s monetary and leisure capital, the place he lives along with his film star spouse Kareena Kapoor and two sons.

Two of the six wounds have been deep, with one close to his backbone, the Press Belief of India information company cited a physician at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital as saying.

Indian media quoted police as saying the intruder barged into the home at about 2:30 a.m. and fled after stabbing Khan. A feminine worker at Khan’s house was additionally injured through the assault and was being handled, they stated.

Police are investigating and have launched a seek for the attacker.

Kapoor, Khan’ spouse, stated in a press release that his household was positive and requested “the media and fans to be patient and not speculate any further as the police is already doing their due investigations.”

Khan, who can also be a film producer, has been featured in about 70 movies and tv sequence. He’s the son of former Indian cricket captain Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and Bollywood actress Sharmila Tagore.

He received a number of awards for his roles in Hindi cinema, together with seven Filmfare Awards. In 2010, he obtained the Padma Shri, the fourth highest Indian civilian award.
