House rejects Lebanon war powers resolution

The House on Tuesday rejected a Democratic-backed war powers resolution directing President Trump to remove troops from hostilities in Lebanon. The lower chamber voted 189-235 to oppose the resolution. Two Republicans supported the resolution, while 22 Democrats voted against it. The resolution was sponsored by Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.).
