Girl standing on Las Vegas freeway hit, killed: police

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A girl is lifeless following a crash that brought about main delays on Interstate 15 on Tuesday.

The Nevada State Police Freeway Patrol responded to the crash on southbound Interstate I-15 close to Sahara Avenue at round 4:30 p.m. Lanes on the southbound and northbound sides of the freeway have been closed to visitors, inflicting main delays throughout the morning commute.

In accordance with police, a silver 2007 Toyota Prius was touring northbound on I-15 when a girl standing on the shoulder of the I-15 stepped into its path. The Toyota hit the lady on her proper aspect, inflicting the motive force to veer towards the northwest and crash right into a raised concrete wall.

The Toyota ultimately got here to a managed cease, and the motive force remained on the scene, cooperating with investigators.
