One native restaurateur is ready for a giant celebration on the enterprise she and her husband began in 2016. At the moment, Vanessa Barreat and Raul Martínez had a meals stand and a dream. They, and two staff, had been promoting their Mexican dishes on the Broadacres Swap Meet. The couple finally opened their first restaurant, La Vecindad Pico De Gallo, in 2020, after which a second location, Las Vecindad Cantina, in 2024. They now make use of 65 individuals.
