LAS VEGAS (KLAS) —  Las Vegas valley drivers are voicing frustrations about tough highway situations alongside the southbound 215 between Decatur Boulevard and Rainbow Boulevard.

Reviews of potholes and uneven pavement within the space have prompted quite a few complaints to Clark County officers.

“It’s dangerous. It’s not safe for me. It’s not safe for my children, for other drivers,” stated Amalia Haupu, a Las Vegas commuter.

Haupu, who drives steadily on the 215, stated the deteriorating roads have taken a toll on her automotive.

“I’ve gone through at least three tires and probably three to six months.,” she stated, including that Las Vegas’s infrastructure has struggled to maintain tempo with town’s rising inhabitants.

“I know Las Vegas is expanding, and I don’t think that they’re quite ready for it,” she stated.

Different drivers shared related considerations.

“Those potholes don’t exactly identify themselves,” stated Edwin Villegas, one other native commuter. “All of a sudden, they’re just there right in front of you.”

Clark County has acknowledged the issue and is working to handle it. Nevertheless, the continuing highway repairs and building have added to the challenges.

“Potholes everywhere, especially on the freeway. Construction everywhere.,” stated Terence Watts, a Las Vegas resident for over 20 years. “It’s actually a mess.”

The county encourages residents to report points via its Repair It portal, obtainable at ClarkCountyNV.gov/fixit.
