County, Las Vegas dealing with about 2 dozen fireplace calls as fireworks go off

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — County and Las Vegas firefighters have been busy, with 23 calls reporting fires because the valley celebrated the Fourth of July vacation.

One other 11 calls have reported crashes, a number of with accidents.

Two fires have been reported on the sting of neighborhoods within the far west valley, close to the place Charleston Boulevard leaves the valley on the best way to Crimson Rock Nationwide Conservation Space.

A blaze was reported simply east of Boulder Freeway and Racetrack Highway in Henderson. And one other fireplace was reported close to Interstate 15 and Las Vegas Boulevard within the far northeast valley. Within the northwest valley, a pair of fires have been reported within the foothills past the top of Centennial Parkway.

Fireworks on the Las Vegas Strip and arranged shows at areas across the valley began shortly after darkish. Exhibits on the Strip have been at 9 p.m.

The calls do not even replicate experiences to Henderson and North Las Vegas fireplace departments.
