CCFD responds to 2 separate home fires in east Las Vegas valley

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Clark County Hearth Division responded to 2 separate home fires within the east Las Vegas valley Sunday afternoon.

Round 12:50 p.m. Sunday, CCFD responded to a home fireplace within the 1600 block of Labrador Drive close to Sloan Lane and Charleston Boulevard. When crews arrived on the two-story dwelling, they discovered a hearth within the storage that was extending inside the home, CCFD stated.

Crews extinguished the hearth and there have been no accidents to the firefighter and one individual inside the house was taken to an area hospital for smoke inhalation, CCFD stated.

The reason for the hearth was undetermined as of Sunday.

Two battalion chiefs, 5 engines, one truck and two ALS rescues responded to the hearth.

The second fireplace occurred round 3:20 p.m. within the 3400 block of Townhouse Drive close to Sandhill Drive and East Desert Inn Street. When fireplace crews arrived they discovered a small exterior fireplace which they extinguished earlier than it prolonged into the house, CCFD stated.

There have been no stories of any accidents to each firefighters and civilians, in response to CCFD. The reason for the hearth was undetermined as of Sunday afternoon.

Two battalion chiefs, 5 engines, one truck, two ALS Rescues and one personal ambulance responded to the hearth, CCFD stated.
