Breeze Airways aircraft struck at Charleston Worldwide Airport; minor accidents reported

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A big first responder presence was seen at Charleston Worldwide Airport Friday night time following a reported incident between two aircrafts, together with one which departed from Las Vegas

A spokesperson for Breeze Airways instructed counton2.com that flight MX509, an airbus from Las Vegas to Norfolk, Virginia, was diverted to Charleston round 9:30 p.m. as a result of thunderstorms in Virginia.

The spokesperson stated the aircraft had landed safely at Charleston Airport, parked, and was awaiting gasoline earlier than persevering with its journey when the plane’s tail was struck by one other aircraft whereas it was taxiing.

The opposite aircraft was an ANA Boeing 787-10, in keeping with Breeze.

“At this time, all Guests have safely deplaned, and emergency response teams are evaluating a few Guests for minor injuries. A recovery flight is scheduled to depart CHS at approximately 1:20 a.m. ET to safely deliver our Guests to ORF on a new aircraft as we work with authorities to determine the cause of the incident,” stated Breeze.
