Boring Firm employee injured throughout tunnel work close to Las Vegas Strip

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — An worker with The Boring Firm suffered a “crushing injury” Wednesday night time inside a tunnel, in response to the Clark County Fireplace Division.

The accident was reported shortly after 10 p.m. within the 3900 block of Paradise Street.

“CCFD Crews descended to the tunnel opening and made contact with the patient, and began assessing his injuries before packaging him in a stokes basket for safe transport. A stokes basket is a sturdy wire or plastic litter designed for transporting injured people in difficult terrain or confined spaces,” Deputy Fireplace Chief Carlito Rayos mentioned

The injured employee was lifted out of the tunnel by an on-site crane after which transported to Dawn Hospital.

Tunnel boring operations at this website have been quickly halted pending an ongoing accident investigation.
