Airplane makes emergency touchdown at North Las Vegas Airport

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A small plane needed to make an emergency touchdown on the North Las Vegas Airport, in line with Las Vegas Metro police.

A police helicopter was on routine patrol when it was alerted to an “in-flight emergency in the skies” above the airport Thursday morning, police stated.

LVMPD was capable of find the aircraft and notify the North Las Vegas Air Site visitors Management Tower and the pilot that the touchdown gear was not deploying correctly.

At round 10:30 a.m., the pilot reported the malfunction.

Police posted the video of the aircraft touchdown on the airport on its social media pages and added: “Thanks to quick thinking and remarkable skill, the pilot executed a textbook emergency landing without the landing gear.”

These onboard have been capable of “walk away safely,” police added.
