Sam Brown ex-Nevada Senate candidate joins Trump staff

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – President-elect Donald Trump introduced on Thursday that former U.S. Senate candidate Sam Brown would be a part of his staff as he prepares to take workplace within the coming weeks.

Brown will function the Underneath Secretary for Memorial Affairs on the Division of Veterans Affairs, in line with the announcement.

Brown is a retired Military captain and took on Democratic Nevada Sen. Jacky Rosen in November’s Nevada senate race.

“Sam is an American HERO, a Purple Heart recipient, and successful businessman from Nevada, who devoted his life to serving America,” Trump acknowledged partly in his announcement on Thursday.

In November, Rosen received re-election by greater than 23,000 votes—or about 1.5%—to Republican opponent, Brown.
