74-year-old man killed in central Las Vegas valley crash after driving into constructing

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A 74-year-old man was killed in a central valley collision after he drove right into a constructing over the weekend, police stated.

On Saturday, June 28, at round 2:15 p.m., a automobile collision occurred on Earnest Might Lane west of the intersection with Rancho Drive.

Police stated proof confirmed a 2003 Nissan Altima was leaving a personal drive on the south facet of Earnest Might Lane and turning proper.

On the similar time, a 2012 Nissan Versa was touring north via non-public property south of the Altima. For unknown causes, the Versa accelerated via landscaping, driving throughout the sidewalk, getting into the roadway, and colliding with the again of the Altima.

The Versa continued via the property and collided with a constructing within the 800 block of North Rancho.

Medical personnel responded to the scene and took the motive force of the Versa, later recognized as George Petre, 74, to an area hospital.

Regardless of life-saving efforts, Petre succumbed to his accidents, and hospital employees pronounced him lifeless. The coroner’s workplace stated his reason behind dying was instantly associated to his accidents sustained within the collision.
