LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) – A viewer echoes the feedback of Metro police in the case of children and e-scooters, and goes a step farther.
You’ll be able to see and listen to the anguish of Metro Police Lt. Cody Fulwiler in a latest soundbite:
“Detectives are tired of seeing young children that have been killed on our roadways.”
Now viewer Steve writes:
“I think the parents need to take charge and be held responsible for how their children ride these devices. The other night I heard a noise outside my window at 7pm and saw a kid on a go-cart with no headlight and tail light. This child could’ve easily been hit by a car because it was dark out. Maybe kids under 16 shouldn’t be allowed to ride e-scooter or e-bikes. Or at least have to take a safety course.”
Steve, I do not suppose we have heard the final of this subject. We’ll hold you posted as our leaders hear extra from people such as you. Thanks for writing.
Buckle up, drive fastidiously – and, please put down that telephone!
