“I’m not happy about it. I live right on the corner, right next to the park that’s been closed for over a year,” stated Janae Fields, a North Las Vegas resident. “It’s gonna be more congested. I’m just not a big fan of it.”

Regardless of her considerations, Fields says there’s lots to like about her neighborhood.

“People have this stigmatism of North Las Vegas being a bad place. But no — it’s beautiful over here,” Fields stated. “We’re near the mountains, and you get half the cost of living compared to Summerlin or Green Valley. I just love it over here in North Las Vegas.”
