Trump to satisfy Xi in South Korea, go to to China to observe

President Trump mentioned Friday he would meet with Chinese language President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of a summit in South Korea subsequent month, marking the primary in-person assembly between the 2 leaders of Trump’s second time period.

Trump spoke with Xi by cellphone on Friday, with the 2 leaders discussing commerce, the conflict in Ukraine and a deal to approve the sale of TikTok.

“I also agreed with President Xi that we would meet at the APEC Summit in South Korea, that I would go to China in the early part of next year, and that President Xi would, likewise, come to the United States at an appropriate time,” Trump posted. “The call was a very good one, we will be speaking again by phone, appreciate the TikTok approval, and both look forward to meeting at APEC!”

The Asia-Pacific Financial Cooperation (APEC) Summit will happen on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 in South Korea. The gathering brings collectively leaders from roughly two dozen economies.

Trump visited China throughout his first time period in 2017.
