Trump says he's glad 'evil' Pelosi is retiring

President Trump stated Thursday he was glad former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was retiring from Congress on the finish of her time period, deriding her as an “evil woman.”

“I think she’s an evil woman. I’m glad she’s retiring. I think she did the country a great service by retiring,” Trump advised reporters within the Oval Workplace when requested for his response to the California Democrat’s announcement she is ending her decades-long storied profession.

“I think she was a tremendous liability for the country,” Trump continued. “I thought she was an evil woman who did a poor job who cost the country a lot in damages and in reputation. I thought she was terrible.”

Pelosi, 85, introduced earlier Thursday that she is not going to search reelection for one more time period. She has served in Congress since 1987 and was the primary and to this point solely girl to function Speaker of the Home.

There was no love misplaced between Trump and Pelosi, who clashed regularly throughout Trump’s first time period and his time as a candidate, with Pelosi in some ways serving because the face of the Democratic resistance to Trump in Congress.

Pelosi oversaw the Home when it impeached Trump twice, first in 2019 over allegations he withheld weapons from Ukraine as a part of a quid professional quo, and once more in 2021 after the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the Capitol.

Pelosi not too long ago known as Trump the “worst thing on the face of the Earth.”

Trump in 2023 appeared to make mild of the assault on Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, and he often mocked her with the nickname “Crazy Nancy.”
