Trump on US navy involvement in Israel-Iran: ‘I don’t wish to discuss that’

President Trump on Monday sidestepped a query on what it might take for the U.S. navy to become involved in escalating navy strikes between Israel and Iran.

“I don’t want to talk about that,” he advised reporters on his first day of the Group of Seven (G-7) summit in Alberta, alongside Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.

Israel and Iran exchanged strikes for the fourth consecutive day on Monday. Iran fired a missile assault that killed no less than eight individuals and Israel warned individuals to evacuate Tehran as a result of it achieved air superiority over the Iranian capital, The Related Press reported.

And, they should talk and they should talk immediately before it’s too late.”

Iran has signaled that it needs to finish the battle and resume nuclear talks in messages to the U.S. and Israel by means of Arab intermediaries, The Wall Road Journal reported.

Trump additionally advised reporters on Sunday that the U.S. intends to proceed to help Israel’s airstrikes on Iran. The administration at first notably distanced itself from involvement in Israel’s preliminary spherical of strikes.
