LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — President Donald Trump will go to Nevada to thank voters for his election win, he advised reporters Tuesday.

Trump stated he was scheduled to go to North Carolina and Los Angeles on Friday. It was not instantly clear which day Trump could be in Nevada.

“I’m going to Nevada — and I’m really going to Nevada to thank them for the vote because we won Nevada, overwhelmingly,” Trump stated. “That’s usually a Democrat vote. I just want to go there to thank the people of Nevada for the big for the big vote.”

Trump gained the election in November by 1.5% — or about 2 million votes. The president turned the primary Republican candidate since 2004 to win Nevada’s six electoral votes, besting Vice President Kamala Harris by about 46,000 votes.

Trump started his second time period Monday.
