Small aircraft makes emergency touchdown on I-15 close to Mesquite

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The pilot of a small aircraft made an emergency touchdown on I-15 southbound on Tuesday morning.

In keeping with the Las Vegas Metropolitan police’s X account, the plan landed round 9 a.m. at mile marker 82 close to Mesquite. The Nevada Division of Transportation launched a video that reveals the aircraft touchdown on freeway lanes that had been blocked by regulation enforcement.

Police mentioned the pilot is reported to be OK, however there could also be some delays as crews work to evaluate the aircraft. Mesquite is about 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas. Metro is working together with the Nevada State Police to handle visitors.
