Quiet spot for youths a brand new addition at North Las Vegas Boys & Women Golf equipment location

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — For native Boys & Women Membership youngsters in North Las Vegas, there is a new place that gives house and solace.

A brand-new Panda Cares Heart of Hope was unveiled on the James Clubhouse of the Boys & Women Golf equipment of Southern Nevada. It is in North Las Vegas on Carey Avenue simply east of Las Vegas Boulevard North.

The Heart of Hope is a newly renovated house the place college students can get some house.

“It’s a little quieter, again, Centers of Hope are isolated from the big, loud places and want that calm learning environment but also the creative side, too,” Andy Bischel, president and CEO for the golf equipment, stated.

This quieter house is a spot to check, loosen up and browse.

“I grew up in a Boys & Girls Club. I always found this to be a safe space where I can come and do my homework and come and talk to somebody as a mentor,” William Mata, Space Coach of Operations, stated.

It is also a house for creativity, whether or not it is art work, robotics or writing code.

“It’s setting up our future generation for success by creating a safe environment, an empowering environment for them to continue thriving and achieving their dreams,” Mata stated.

The Heart of Hope, with its calming colours and mushy music, additionally provides a retreat for psychological well being — a spot to get centered and reset.

The Heart for Hope evokes all types of emotions for the children who will use it. “To make art, probably chill, relax, and be comfortable,” a member named Rayveon stated.

“Being able to come here and unwind,” a member named Paloma stated.

“So you can focus, and so you can have your mind cleared to see what you want to do, or what you might have to do,” Rayveon stated.

“It’s also about the mental health and mental well-being of our kids,” Bischel stated.

Panda Cares Basis, the philanthropic arm of Panda Categorical, is celebrating 25 years with the grand opening of this new Heart of Hope. Serving to youngsters was a objective of founders Peggy and Andrew Cherng.

“They were immigrants to this country, and they really wanted to make sure, with their success of being restauranteurs — of giving back to the community,” Bischel stated.

“This is what Panda’s all about — paying it forward for the next generation,” Mata stated.

And it looks as if the children on the James Clubhouse agree.

“I think it’s like a really great space to be in, especially like on off days, just coming in here, relaxing, doing art, just whatever the staff member has planned. It’s just like, really nice,” Paloma stated.

“To me, it’s like freedom,” Rayveon stated.
