LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Smoke from the mountains west of Las Vegas may be seen subsequent week as managed burns are deliberate within the Lovell Canyon space.

Officers from the Humboldt-Toiyabe Nationwide Forest introduced plans to start prescribed pile burns throughout 150 acres alongside Lovell Canyon Street, about 15 miles west of Las Vegas. The world is close to SR160 between Las Vegas and Pahrump.

Residents would possibly see or odor smoke in the course of the burns, which are anticipated from Monday, Oct. 20, by way of Friday, Oct. 24, if climate circumstances permit.
