LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A North Las Vegas man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal jail for distributing and possessing with the intent to distribute greater than 30 kilos of methamphetamine throughout the valley, in keeping with the Division of Justice.
On Wednesday, Efrain Macias-Amaral was sentenced to 10 years in federal jail and 5 years of supervised launch after serving his time, in keeping with the DOJ.
Macias-Amaral, who had entered the U.S. illegally, distributed and possessed with the intent to distribute over 15 kilograms of methamphetamine in 2024, courtroom paperwork mentioned. On June 11 and July 3 of 2024, he bought a mixed 4,000 grams of meth to a person.
On July 11, 2024, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police stopped Macias-Amaral’s automobile. Throughout the search, officers found greater than 11,026 grams of meth hidden in a suitcase within the trunk. On the time of the cease, Macias-Amaral offered a Mexican identification card underneath a distinct identify.
