Nevada lawmakers search LGBTQ+ landmark standing for Las Vegas 'Fruit Loop'

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A proposal within the Nevada Legislature would designate an LGBTQ-centric a part of the Las Vegas valley as a historic landmark.

The decision launched Thursday from Democrats in each the Nevada Senate and Nevada Meeting would acknowledge the “Fruit Loop” and protect “its legacy and the promotion of LGBTQ+ history in Nevada.”

Within the Seventies, LGBTQ companies started to pop up round Paradise Street and College Middle Drive close to Harmon Avenue, the decision stated. It’s dwelling to companies together with the Piranha nightclub and QUADZ bar.

No date was scheduled for any listening to on the proposal as of Friday.
