Nevada invoice proposes $80M annual increase in movie tax credit

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The primary of two movie tax credit score payments was filed on the Nevada State Legislature.

Meeting Invoice 238 would give studios like Sony Footage Leisure and Warner Brothers/Discovery as much as $80 million a 12 months in tax credit, beginning in 2028. The tax credit would finish in 2043.

Las Vegas movement image studio strikes one other step ahead

The studios must spend a minimum of $400 million in Nevada, 50% of its pictures/filming should happen in Nevada, and the movie would have to be completed inside 18 months to qualify for the tax credit.

A distinct model of this invoice is anticipated within the Nevada Senate.
