LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A fourth-grader from Nevada will likely be chosen to gentle the Christmas Tree on the West Garden of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.

It is all a part of the festivities as a Nevada tree will likely be used for the primary time ever. The choice has been narrowed right down to 9 timber — 5 from the Spring Mountains west of Las Vegas, and 4 from the Carson Ranger District in Northern Nevada.
