Metro to launch particulars on capturing involving officers; baton-weilding man

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas Metropolitan police will maintain a information briefing Monday to launch extra particulars on a capturing involving two officers final week.

The capturing occurred within the early morning hours of Thursday, Dec. 5 on Cobb Lane close to Jap and Owens avenues when police responded to a report of a person swinging a steel baton at individuals and autos.

Following the capturing, Metro police stated the person was shot after ignoring police instructions and charging on the officers. He was transported to College Medical Middle with crucial accidents, police stated.

The officers concerned within the capturing had been recognized as Justin Lee, 38, and Victor Robinson, 36.

Assistant Sheriff Jamie Prosser will focus on the capturing at a midday information convention.
