Man swinging a machete and kicking a pet arrested at Bullhead Metropolis park

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A 30-year-old man who witnesses mentioned was kicking his canine and swinging a machete was taken into custody on Tuesday in Bullhead Metropolis, Arizona.

Erik Anthony Arenas faces prices of resisting arrest, cruelty to animals and disorderly conduct with a harmful instrument after officers responded to a name at Rotary Park alongside the Colorado River.

Witnesses instructed police that Arenas was hitting bushes with the machete, and officers discovered a number of freshly lower branches on the bottom. Witnesses mentioned Arenas kicked a pet he had with him a number of instances. They had been afraid what may occur after witnessing his “violent and erratic behavior,” in response to a Bullhead Metropolis Police Division social media submit.

Police instructed Arenas he was below arrest, and he was uncooperative. A battle ensued, however officers took him into custody and he was booked into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.

The pet seemed to be unhurt, police mentioned.

Bullhead Metropolis is about 100 miles south of Las Vegas.
