Man, lady lifeless after obvious murder-suicide in central Las Vegas valley

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A person and lady are lifeless after an obvious murder-suicide within the central Las Vegas valley, based on Metro police.

On Saturday round 5:20 p.m., officers responded to a house within the 700 block of Bruce Avenue close to Bonanza Highway and Maryland Parkway after a report of a girl who was shot. When officers arrived and approached the house, they heard one other gunshot, police stated.

Officers then entered the house and located a person and a girl affected by gunshot wounds. The person was pronounced lifeless on the scene and the lady was taken to a neighborhood hospital the place she was later pronounced lifeless, based on police.

Police stated the person and lady had ended a long-term relationship and the lady had introduced their kids over for visitation. Throughout the visitation, an argument ensued, throughout which the person pulled out a gun and shot the lady. When officers arrived, the person turned the gun on himself and took his personal life, police stated.

Police stated the youngsters have been unhurt throughout the incident.

“This is a very tragic, tragic event. We encourage anyone who has any type of domestic violence issues to reach out to support services, the FJC, the Family Justice Center. It does not have to end like this,” LVMPD Murder Lt. Robert Worth stated Saturday.
