Man dies 10 days after being hit by car, Las Vegas police say

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — An individual who was hit by a car whereas strolling died Thursday, 10 days after the crash.

On Jan. 6 at round 7:30 p.m., officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Division responded to East Tropicana Avenue east of South Nellis Boulevard after a report of a crash involving a pedestrian.

Police stated a person was crossing Tropicana exterior of a marked or implied crosswalk whereas a 2024 Chrysler drove east on Tropicana close to the Nellis intersection.

The collision occurred when the person, 45, stepped off the middle median into the trail of the Chrysler. Medical personnel arrived and took the person to a close-by hospital.

The driving force of the Crysler remained on the scene and confirmed no indicators of impairment, the report acknowledged.

On Jan. 23, the Clark County coroner’s workplace informed the LMVPD the person succumbed to his accidents and was pronounced useless on Jan. 16.

The pedestrian’s dying marks the thirteenth traffic-related fatality for the yr 2025. The collision stays beneath investigation by the LVMPD Collision Investigation Part.
