Little League World Sequence: Las Vegas-area staff claims 2nd victory

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Summerlin South baseball staff took house one other win on Friday within the Little League World Sequence, defeating Washington in a 5 to three sport.

Summerlin South is representing Nevada within the U.S. bracket because the Mountain Area champion.

On Friday, Aug. 15, Summerlin took on Bonney Lake, from Washington, within the second spherical of the Little League World Sequence in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

The Bonney Lake staff represents the Northwest division.

The Summerlin staff earned its spot within the World Sequence after successful the West Area championship in early August. In keeping with Entrance Workplace Sports activities, each the A’s and the Vegas Golden Knights donated 1000’s of {dollars} after they clinched their win.

Following the win, Summerlin will face off on Monday, Aug. 18, in opposition to the winner of Recreation 6, the staff from Irmo, South Carolina, representing the Southeast Area.

Las Vegas groups beforehand competed within the West Area of the Little League World Sequence. Lately, they have been reassigned to the newly fashioned Mountain Area, which incorporates states like Utah, Montana, Colorado, and many others.
