LAS VEGAS (AP) — NFL Corridor of Fame member Shannon Sharpe has resolved a lawsuit that accused him of sexually assaulting a girl throughout their relationship, her legal professional stated Friday.
“All issues have now been addressed satisfactorily, and the matter is closed. The lawsuit will thus be dismissed with prejudice,” Tony Buzbee stated on X, that means the lawsuit cannot be refiled.
No particulars had been launched. The lawsuit had sought $50 million.
Sharpe known as the allegations “false and disruptive” when the lawsuit was filed in April in Clark County, Nevada. He stepped away from work at ESPN on the time however had pledged to return by the beginning of the NFL preseason.
A cellphone message looking for remark from Sharpe’s legal professional, David Chesnoff, wasn’t instantly returned Friday.
The girl first met Sharpe at a gymnasium in Los Angeles in 2023 when she was 20, and an almost two-year relationship adopted, in line with the lawsuit. Sharpe, 57, was accused of raping the lady in October 2024 and in January.
