LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Las Vegas Metropolis Council voted unanimously Wednesday to approve practically 1,500 housing items to be constructed on the positioning of the closed Badlands golf course.
The council beforehand gave the go-ahead for the Las Vegas Metropolis Legal professional’s Workplace to proceed with negotiations on the $636 million buy of the golf course property, about 250 acres close to Alta Drive and Rampart Boulevard. Town will promote the land to Greystone Nevada, LLC, a subsidiary of nationwide builder Lennar Properties.
The venture permitted Wednesday contains 1,480 houses.
Mayor Shelley Berkley lives within the space surrounding the vacant land and mentioned through the assembly: “I have been driving by that hole for many years now.”
Earlier this month, the council voted unanimously in assist of two agenda objects associated to a settlement that may finish lawsuits.
