Las Vegas mayor urges for peace at deliberate protest

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas Mayor Shelley Berkley took to social media Saturday to deal with the deliberate “No Kings” protest.

Mayor Berkley posted on the social media platform X, “An important message for today,” simply after 10:30 a.m.

“All Americans have a right to protest, and we should do so, but let us do so lawfully.” Mayor Berkley stated. “It doesn’t make any sense and help any cause if we’re putting graffiti on public buildings, setting cars on fire, or throwing projectiles at law enforcement.”

Moreover, she added that legislation enforcement is there to guard people and town.

“Protestors, let’s behave appropriately and protest peacefully, and everybody gets to go home safely,” Mayor Berkley stated.
