LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A Clark County decide set bond at $150,000 for a Las Vegas man accused of kidnapping a 14-year-old woman he met on social media.
Authorities mentioned they could have disrupted a big intercourse trafficking community.
“This defendant drove to Colorado to pick her up from there and bring her to Las Vegas and have sex with her,” Clark County Chief Deputy District Lawyer Richard Scow mentioned.
Officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Division arrested Cameron Scruggs, 25, on Wednesday.

Scruggs is accused of kidnapping an adolescent from Aurora, Colorado, on June 17, sparking a search throughout western states that concerned a number of regulation enforcement businesses, together with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Her disappearance resulted within the Colorado Bureau of Investigation issuing a Lacking Endangered Alert.

“This could very well be part of a bigger human trafficking case, and these social media sites is where they all happen,” Aurora Police Cmdr. Marc Paolina mentioned.
In keeping with police, the teenager was speaking to older males utilizing websites like Discord and Reddit.
“We believe that they had prior contact just online and that through these chat rooms, and social media they somehow came together. We don’t know again what exactly is the extent of that and how that came together. That’s all part of the investigation,” Paolina mentioned.
Cameron Scruggs is scheduled to return to a Clark County courtroom on July 1. He is additionally going through prices in Colorado.
