Las Vegas city corridor to handle encampment of unhoused people

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — In response to rising issues over homeless encampments within the central Las Vegas valley, Commissioner Segerblom will host a group city corridor to handle the problem.

Clark County Fee Chairman Tick Segerblom invitations residents, enterprise house owners, and native stakeholders to the group city corridor on Monday, Might 19 at 6 p.m. on the Clark County library on 1401 East Flamingo Highway.

“This town hall is an opportunity to foster a productive dialogue and learn about ongoing efforts and resources available. I encourage those impacted by or concerned about the unhoused in the area to attend and share their thoughts,” Commissioner Segerblom stated.

Throughout the assembly, Segerblom may even talk about upcoming building close to the Flamingo Wash and the way it will influence the encircling space. A clean-up operation is deliberate forward of the development to clear encampments and put together the positioning.

Representatives from a number of key organizations, together with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Division, UNLV Police, the Regional Flood Management District, and HELP of Southern Nevada, shall be in attendance to stipulate their present methods and reply group questions.
