Individual on scooter hit by car in central Las Vegas valley

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — An individual using an electrical scooter was hit by a car within the Las Vegas valley Thursday morning.

On Thursday, Oct. 16, at round 9:30 a.m., the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Division responded to a collision within the intersection of East Flamingo Highway and Burnham Avenue, close to Spencer Road.

The collision occurred between a car and a pedestrian on an electrical scooter.

The pedestrian was taken to a close-by hospital with non-life-threatening accidents. The driving force of the car remained on the scene and impairment was not suspected on the time of publication.

Las Vegas police introduced final week that it could have further officers patrolling the valley till the top of the month with a purpose to improve pedestrian security.
