Individual in custody after Las Vegas police examine stolen automobile turned barricade

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — An individual was taken into custody after an incident involving a stolen automobile became a barricade within the east valley.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Division responded to a theft/stolen automobile close to Desert Inn Street and South Maryland Parkway at round 11 p.m. on April 17.

By means of investigation, the automobile was situated within the 4800 block of Boulder Freeway at round 4 a.m.

Police mentioned the suspect was believed to be in an condo and refused to adjust to officers’ orders to exit. The incident was deemed a barricade at 9 a.m.

SWAT was on the scene, and Nellis Boulevard was shut down from Flamingo Street to Pueblo Del Sol.

At round 11:30 a.m., police mentioned the suspect was taken into custody with out incident.

Metro requested the general public to keep away from the world as a consequence of a heavy police presence.
