“I got a call that my niece just got ran over at school,” Novis Escalante stated. “It’s a call that no one should receive, especially in a school area.”
“I feel like this incident could’ve definitely been prevented. More so because there are no crosswalks here,” Escalante stated.
She says many college students on the college find yourself jaywalking attributable to an absence of secure crosswalks close by. The closest ones are alongside Alexander Highway on the intersections of Commerce and North fifth streets.
