JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia (AP) — One of many Center East’s fastest-growing movie festivals opened Thursday in Saudi Arabia, attracting filmmakers and stars from around the globe, to current over 120 movies from 81 nations in Jeddah’s historic Al-Balad district.

The flicks in competitors embrace Lotfi Achour’s “Red Path,” featured on the Locarno Movie Pageant, and Mehdi M. Barsaoui’s “Aïcha,” a Venice Movie Pageant choice.
