Henderson reveals research on high drawback intersections

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A brand new visitors research is a possible key to unlocking Henderson’s subsequent steps on addressing the worst intersections within the metropolis.

Throughout a daily council assembly, the Henderson Metropolis Council reviewed a presentation by metropolis employees and consultants from AtkinsRéalis. The research was initially hailed as an excellent indicator of metropolis administration.

“What the stakeholders are saying is, don’t make it ugly. Make it nice,” Jamie Archambeau, an AtkinsRéalis challenge supervisor, mentioned. “And you are doing a great job.”

Via 2018 to 2022 crash studies and strolling audits, the research revealed the next high drawback areas for town.

Japanese Avenue & St Rose Parkway

*9,936 whole crashes, 18 deadly crashes, 181 critical damage crashes

I-215 & Stephanie Avenue

Japanese Avenue & St Rose Parkway

*256 whole crashes, 3 deadly, 22 critical damage crashes

Intersections with highest focus of pedestrian associated crashes*:

Boulder Freeway & Lake Mead Parkway

Sundown Street & Stephanie Avenue

I-215 & Inexperienced Valley Parkway

*237 whole crashes, 11 deadly crashes, 34 critical damage crashes
