LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A fireplace destroyed a Henderson residence late Wednesday night time, leaving a household’s cat useless.

The Henderson Fireplace Division responded to what was listed as a 2nd alarm hearth within the 100 block of First Avenue, close to Lake Mead Parkway and Boulder Freeway, shortly earlier than 10 p.m. Wednesday night time.

A neighbor captured the hearth on a doorbell digital camera, proven within the picture under.

The house is owned by an area trainer named Holly Huth, who managed to flee the flames.

“I don’t know what to do, honestly, it’s terrifying,” Huth informed 8 Information Now. “You work so hard for everything, and then it kind of goes up in flames all in one minute. Just take things one step at a time, I suppose.”

Huth informed 8 Information Now that her cat died within the hearth, however the remainder of her household was in a position to get out safely.

The Henderson Fireplace Division mentioned they’re investigating the reason for the hearth.
